Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Center Store Director, the Buyer Assistant will support and work closely with vendor partners, and the Support Pricing team to ensure accurate sale pricing reaches store level for our guests.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for data entry, maintenance and accuracy of the ad planner and supporting paperwork
Implements sale pricing for all products within assigned department(s)
Initiates DSD form through DSD Macro
Coordinates product billbacks with vendor partners for department cost recovery
Processes billing from vendors for ad placement and movement
Prepares and processes new items fees to our vendors
Develops high level movement reports upon request
Verifies margins per guideline established by the Center Store Director/Price Strategy Manager
Prepares and manages seasonal/assortment items for importing
Supports store associates by answering ad or merchandising inquires
Provides administrative support and data entry for Pricing team
Authorizes payment, returned merchandise, credits and invoice error fees
Partners with the Pricing team to discuss and execute pricing decisions based on parameters set forth by the Center Store Director/Price Strategy Manager
Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years retail experience
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office
Retail knowledge pertaining to ordering, shelf maintenance and pricing
Knowledge of or the ability to learn SMS functions and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to multitask and quickly react to changing responsibilities/needs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
