Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Provides ongoing organizational support to the Facility Services Department by accurately keeping records, coordinating task-oriented projects by interfacing with the hospital departments and vendors. This includes Environment of Care (Safety, Security, Fire/ Life Safety, Emergency Management, Hazmat, Medical Equipment, and Utilities Management). Additional support is needed for the Biomed, Security, and Patient Transport Departments with scheduling, meetings, and payroll. Overseeing Engineering departments. Responsible for Hospital wide policy management. Ensuring policies are up to date and meet regulatory code. Oversees the Environment of Care requirements. In charge of monthly meetings, documents, and compliance. Reports to the Director of Facility Services. Exhibits leadership skills to motivate and responds to difficult situations with skill and confidence.  Assists the Director of Facility Services with performance issues and evaluations.  Continually assesses and improves the physical plant looking to maximize service and efficiency.  Takes personal responsibility to provide excellent service every day.

Required Qualifications:

Three years of experience

Knowledgeable of all hospital regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, life safety, building codes, and The Joint Commission regulations

Detail oriented

Demonstrates skills necessary for providing continuing organization support to the Facility Services Department

Provide excellent customer service with every interaction

Demonstrates leadership and conflict management skills

Knowledge of computer systems and pertinent software,   

Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements:  Orientation, OSHA, EOC, Infection Control, Abuse/ Neglect, and Ethics, Tuberculosis Screening,

Preferred: 

Previous healthcare experience

Certified Healthcare Safety Professional

Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional

Possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
