Application Support Analyst

The successful candidate will join the Business Application Support Team and is responsible for supporting internal business users, analyse reported problems both on business and technical levels and work with internal IT teams to provide a resolution in an efficient and timely manner.

In details, the position encompasses duties and responsibilities as follows -

- Supporting business users in Baar and globally for our clients trading systems and other applications
- Closely working with application business analysts and developers to resolve reported issues
- Regular communication on status and progress of pending issues relevant to stakeholder's
- Problem management and proposal or correctly measures to proactively prevent reoccurring issues
- Involvement in the application testing cycle as part of the business request delivery process
- Extend and maintain product support documentation for support staff and end user

Requires knowledge of -

- Supporting business application end users
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Investigating issues within database packages and procedures
- Software testing and quality assurance in UAT and pre-production environments
- IT development technologies and processes (SDLC)
- The ability to listen, simplify and articulate the exact problem reported by the business user
- Strong analytical skills both technically and on the business side
- Solid interpersonal skills in order to communicate and negotiate with all levels of the business and IT
- Delivery and customer focused, taking ownership for reported issues efficiently with a high quality

The ideal candidate disposes of -

- Education on degree level (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of working experience in a similar trading or financial environment
- Fluid in English - written and spoken
- Self-driven and with the right sense of urgency
- Willing to go the extra mile to support end users
- Use of the ITIL processes and tools
- Knowledge and use of business analysis methodologies
