Develops relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions; learns guests’ names and preferences, connects with them personally but professionally
Promotes positive guest relations, greets guests, and creates a friendly atmosphere
Authorizes guest complimentary to recognize loyal players in accordance with Greektown Casino-Hotel guidelines
Ensures all guests problems are handled quickly to meet guest satisfaction within the established guidelines
Implements strategies and leads initiatives to continuously improve guest service
Team player that works toward team goals and fosters a collaborative and positive work environment
Evaluate operational procedures, recommend, and implement approved changes
Hire, train, counsel, discipline, evaluate departmental team members, and make recommendations for hire and termination
Issues appropriate, fair, and consistent disciplinary action according to Greektown Casino-Hotel policies and Slot Operations departmental procedures
Observes and recognizes irregularities, violations, or other discrepancies in casino personnel or guests and institutes appropriate action
Plans and administers work schedules and assignments
Ensures departmental procedures are enforced and are effective in assuring proper protection of all gaming operations from loss, due to negligence, mistake, or theft
Works with Surveillance and Security to aid in the protection of casino assets and maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of Slot Operations
Record log entries and complete forms as mandated by Michigan Gaming Control Board Regulation
Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position
Other job-related duties as assigned

Must have working knowledge of mechanical functions and play aspects of slot machines, procedures, and casino floor operations
Must have working knowledge of software and casino management systems

Must be outgoing, energetic, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards Greektown Casino-Hotel, its guests, and Team Members
Must be able to work in a high risk, fast paced environment, follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data
Must be able to resolve controversy, maintain a fair and objective position when dealing with Team Members and guests
Must be able to delegate tasks appropriately
Must be able to analyze reports and clearly present information
Must be able to exhibit judgment based on sound business practices and realistic understanding of issues
Must be able to efficiently schedule and utilize manpower needs, including scheduling for events, holidays, and other peak periods
Must be able to write and implement departmental procedures as necessary
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
Must be able to speak effectively before groups of guests and Team Members
Must be skilled in operating business computers and office machines, including Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software
Must be able to attend meetings, work any shift including weekends, holidays, and special events
Must be willing to work long hours and adjust schedule with short notice
High School graduate required, 4-year college degree preferred.
Eight (8) years Slot Department experience; five (5) years supervisory/management experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
