Description and Responsibilities:

The Open Sky Family Support Center is here to support you and your family! We know that navigating the services and supports available to individuals with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities and Autism can be challenging. Our goal is to provide the training, support, and advocacy to meet both your day-to-day needs and long-term goals. We tailor our services to meet your family’s needs and help in building relationships at home and in the community, that are respectful of your culture, values, and preferences.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the broad range of services available to individuals and their families through the Family Support Center. These services include; information and referral, service navigation, trainings, individual and small group consultation, community connections and resources, networking, mentoring and support groups, social recreational activities, and administration of flexible funding.  

Other Key Responsibilities:

Hire, supervise, mentor and evaluate Navigators.

Create program schedule to ensure services are available to individuals and families at times they are available 

Facilitate and monitor the implementation of activities that create opportunities for the development of valued roles and personal relationships in the community. 

Utilize strong assessment and problem-solving skills to oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of personalized plans of care for individuals and families served.  

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.

Strong organizational, computer, communication and assessment skills required.

Previous experience working with families, children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and co-occurring physical, behavioral and mental health challenges, highly preferred.

Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving history, required.
