Overview:
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of our Supply Chain Team a Supply Chain Intern in manufacturing provides basic Supply Chain support which includes collecting data, creating reports, and analyzes data to meet various internal & external reporting requirements to make improvements within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
Review and analyze gathered data to locate potential improvement / cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain processes. Partner with appropriate resources to realize the improvements.
Partner with the Procurement / Supply Chain leaders to administer the supplier diversity program, including managing & analyzing spend data, submitting reports to customers, & identifying opportunities to improve performance towards the objectives of the program.
Support the plants as appropriate to ensure smooth execution of routine supply chain / purchasing activities.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Requirements
• Working on a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a minimum 3.0 GPA (will be verified)
• Supply Chain management student or a related field
• 0 to 3 years’ experience.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Understanding of DOE principals.
• Very capable in use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Enthusiasm for the opportunity and willingness to go beyond the responsibilities identified
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong initiative, self-starter and highly motivated
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work independently and in a team and perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Confidence to work with and influence senior team members
• Available for a 20+ hours/week internship
Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):
• PC spreadsheet / word processing/PowerPoint software (B)
• Project coordination & management concepts (B)
• Engineered work standards concepts and techniques (B)
• CAD software tools (J)
