Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect to support the USAF Cloud One (C1) program, which is within the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Cloud One is the Air Force evolution to standardized platforms and application support services providing secure cloud environments, engineered environments, and cyber security solutions.

WORK LOCATION: Hanscom, AFB, MA

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; salaried

RESPONSBILITIES: 

Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies.

Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository.

Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture.

Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture.

Coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.

Work to put the division on the path of modernization specifically with regard to the divisions Digital Engineering using SysML.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience, 5 of which must be DoD.

Extensive experience with Cloud architecture

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Candidate will also need strong organizational skills.

Must be a US citizen.

Must have an active US security clearance.
