Overview:
Under direct supervision, using standard processes and continuous improvements, the Automated Assembly Machine Operator
operates the automatic assembly machine to assemble couplings in a timely and efficient manner that meet the quality
standards to ensure the delivery of world-class products to Tyler Coupling customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for machine adjustments. Coordinates production changes and requests maintenance for the machines.
2. General maintenance of automated assembly equipment and its supporting equipment.
3. Use of hand tools: allen-wrenches, and other tools.
4. Responsible for loading shield material and clamps into the machine. Visually observes and controls flow of all
component parts into designated stations.
5. Troubleshoot and clear all equipment faults via the Siemens HMI.
6. Responsible for Production, Quality of Product and Documentation of daily numbers.
7. Keeps area and equipment clean and orderly at all times.
8. Must verify the quality of the couplings during production, in intervals of 15-30 minutes.
9. Follow Supervisors’ instructions at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Must be flexible, Self-motivated.
2. Basic Computer Skills.
3. Must have mechanical abilities and good manual dexterity.
4. Work independently and as a team player.
5. Ability to follow directions.
6. Maintain work area clean.
7. Ability to sit/stand for periods of up to 8 hours.
8. Repetitive grasping and gripping with hands.
9. Regularly required to bend, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
10. Plant Environment.
11. Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.
12. Preferred high school or equivalent education and one year of related manufacturing experience; machine operator in
metal stamping.
13. Preferred a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
