Responsibilities:

Provides skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.

Adheres to state requirements for supervision of COTAs to provide services with the highest care standards

Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.

Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.

Maintains patient records confidentially.

Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.

Complies with the applicable State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, rules and regulations

Additional Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                

Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.

Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.

Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.

Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.

Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.

Attends meetings as requested.

Performs other duties as assigned.

INDCLIN

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program

• Current State Occupational Therapist license

• Current NBCOT certificate

• Current CPR certification

• Efficient problem-solving skills

• Exceptional communication skills and time management skills

• Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities

• Collaborative nature

• Allegiance to the mission, values, and vision of the organization
