Overview:
Capitol Lakes is looking for a Part-Time Payroll Assistant to ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll for all employees at Capitol Lakes in conjunction with our accounting and human resources team.
You will oversee biweekly payroll processing with the help of our accounting team and support managers in completion of timecards and entering PTO and missed punches.
What You'll Be Doing:
Process biweekly payroll, including supporting managers in verifying hours, entering missed punches, calculating and entering PTO.
Process payments for incentives and any off-schedule manual checks
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates in coordination with Human Resources (HR) team
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Assist department leadership in managing attendance records, payroll system use and other accounting processes as needed.
What You'll Need:
Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures is preferred.
Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel.
Familiarity with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) preferred.
