Overview:

HORUS is seeking to hire a Senior Tester to support a long-term contract. 

  

The Senior Tester’s role is to become a subject matter expert, perform quality assurance testing, and develop written information that aids in the development, use, and support of the systems. Outputs will include test cases, test results, web content, and word documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

Work with project team and customers to identify and document processes and enhancements for the Health Care Analytics Platform using JIRA. 

Create test cases and test plans for integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). 

Execute test cases, document test results, and create defects using both manual and automated testing. 

Crete and maintain test result reports for each build and release. 

Collaborate with systems and development staff to collect and interpret technical information. 

Ensure final documents are usable and of high quality. 

Plan, design, research, write, and edit a range of content, including user guides and manuals, technical specifications, training materials, and user policies for both print and online media. 

Edit written documentation of development and other IT staff to create unified and consistent support documents. 

Establish, communicate, and maintain documentation standards, and provide training where required. 

Support users with reproducing and investigating issues identified in UAT and production. Respond to users with workarounds until a permanent solution can be implemented. 

Qualifications:

University degree in the field of Computer Science or technology, Science, Information Systems or Mathematics. 

3+ years equivalent work experience. 

Hands-on creating and executing test cases, test plans, and documenting test results. 

Experience with automated testing, developing and running test scrips using tools such as Katalon and Selenium. 

Experience with load testing, backend testing, and performance testing.

Experience with testing SOAP and REST web services using tools such as SoapUI and Postman

Excellent knowledge of SQL for analysis, reporting, and data corrections. 

Experience working on complex 24/7 mission critical systems. 

Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles. 

Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems. 

Experience with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with SharePoint and Jira.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and interviewing skills in a team-oriented, collaborative, multi-tasking environment.

Ability to absorb and retain information quickly, specifically complex technical information.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with superior attention to detail. 

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 

Exceptional customer service orientation. 

Experience with being part of Agile scrum teams. 

Experience with accessibility standards.
