The Red Lion Team is seeking a Production Sr Operator on Second(2nd) shift.

Summary:

Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation | Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

Major Position Responsibilities:

Position: Production Sr Operator

Shift: 2nd 

Hours: Monday-Thursday (3:40PM-2:00AM); Off on Fridays.

Essential Duties:

Operates, tests, and monitors assigned equipment according to established guidelines for an organization.

Observes and conducts operation of equipment and documents maintenance needs.

Troubleshoots control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.

May communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly complex issues.

Verifies equipment data for reporting.

Supports and assists with the installation of operating equipment.

Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.

May assist with training other machine operators.

May calculate and assist with numeric controlled programming.

Basic Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED 

3-5 years' experience 

OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experience setting up and operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes.

Strong understanding G&M Codes

Strong knowledge of insert wear.

Ability to change your own tooling (inserts)

Ability to use machining measurement equipment (i.e. calipers, depth mics, etc.)

Strong understanding of offset changes to ensure quality parts are made. 

Ability to change own tool holders and touch off tools 

Basic understanding of GD&T 

Ability to hand edit program

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational/Technical Training Degree

Strong written/verbal communication skills.

Ability to gather and document information. 

Strong mechanical and safety knowledge.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. 

May need to stand for long periods at a time

Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities

Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
