Overview:

The Engineering Technician II Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments | Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines I Lead troubleshooting efforts associated with test /inspection failures or anomalies

Major Position Responsibilities:

Assists engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes.

Supports with technical tasks and project support.

Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments.

Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.

Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.

Performs extensive research and development during creation phase of product.

Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during design phase.

Basic Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:  Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-4 years experience OR Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Preferred Education:  Associates Degree

Discipline Major:  Technical training preferred

Additional Certifications:  IPC Soldering and Wire Harness certifications preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Technical expertise. Ability to understand and follow directions. Design expertise. Mathematical skills. Engineering Support. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software. Hands-on experience using electrical and electronic test equipment.
