Riverview Regional Medical Center is looking for a CT Technologist to join our diagnostic team. The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images. The CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures
Position patients and answer any questions they have regarding the procedure
Ensure the proper dose of radionuclides are administered, starting IV lines if needed
Monitor patient discomfort throughout the procedure
Review images for quality
Accurately document the procedure and update patient records
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
Proficient computer skills.
