Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves designing construction document drawing sets for a variety of structural infrastructure projects and conducting structural condition assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed construction document drawings for large building and utility structures, as well as site features.

Conduct structural condition assessments of existing building envelopes, utility tunnels, and energy plants, delivering comprehensive reports with repair and rehabilitation recommendations.

Perform calculations related to steel, concrete, and masonry structural design.

Collaborate with in-house civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a Structural Engineering concentration.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts with an interest in mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with SCIA and Bentley RAM is a plus.
