Job Description
Primarily you will be working with project/staff engineers completing geotechnical assignments on an array of projects for various clients in Southwest Florida. You will also have the opportunity to consult with our national team on out-of-state projects. Typical SW Florida projects include large tract developments, high end luxury homes, high rise condominiums, low/midrise commercial structures, bridges, roadways, and utility lines. You will also be mentoring the CoMET field and laboratory staff on soil/concrete testing, and foundation installation inspections. Forensic investigations involving foundation distress are integrated into this role.
What you will do:
Communicate with clients and develop proposals to complete geotechnical studies, field tests, analysis, and design.
Organize and coordinate with field and laboratory staff to complete explorations and lab testing.
Prepare report documents presenting geotechnical findings and recommendations for construction projects.
Assist and or oversee scheduling for in-house drilling crew and subcontractors.
Complete site visits to constructions sites and assist owners/contractors with geotechnical and CoMET issues.
Complete site visits to completed structures to investigate and evaluate distress with follow up report identifying repair options.
Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
