Position Summary

Under the direction of the Building Operations Director (BOD), is responsible for assisting the established functions of the Facility Services Maintenance Department. Suggests work related improvements to enhance department standards, and assists with personnel management, budget development and compliance, scheduling, regulatory compliance. Accountable in providing prompt and courteous responses to all resident and coworker maintenance related requests. Position requires on-call responsibilities.

Essential Duties

Maintain, inspect and repair complex building systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automation, fire, etc.), record readings and notify BOD of changing conditions requiring immediate attention.

Respond per department standards to after-hours to alarms, in building fire and access control systems and other building emergencies

May be responsible for interviewing, hiring, orienting, supervising, mentoring and evaluating employees within the facility services departments.

Trains new and existing departmental employees on job duties, infection control, biohazard communications and any other appropriate policies and programs.

Participates in Community committees or task force meetings as directed by FSD.

Develops or assists in developing departmental schedules, work duties, and assignments.

Adjusts scheduling and assignments to accommodate community needs and staff availability.

Assists in the selection, ordering and purchase building supply inventory

Performs all basic maintenance duties
