Job Description:
Position: Lab Intern
Primary Location: Richmond, CA
Reports To: Plant Manager
Compensation: $19 - $22

In This Role, You Will:
Provide laboratory and operational support to Chemtrade manufacturing facilities at the Richmond, California Plant. Responsible for performing sample analyses using applicable internal and external analytical methodologies including associated documentation/certification.
A Successful Candidate Has:
Education: 1st / 2nd/ 3rd Year Chemistry or Science related field
Duration: Fall semester, with the potential for continuing in Spring semester
Technical Skills: Proficient in laboratory, computer, and chemistry skills as expected from a chemistry student
Specific Role Responsibilities
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain accurate documentation of analysis results
Prepare sample using techniques that include but are not limited to weighing, filtering, drying, grinding, digesting and extracting
Perform wet chemistry analyses and generate certificate of analyses, where applicable
Assist management in ensuring all deliveries meet or exceed customer expectations
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance to analytical equipment
Assist in troubleshooting operational quality issues
Assists with inventory management and procurement of laboratory supplies
Assist and serve as a backup for the Laboratory Technician as needed
Prepare, certify, and package product samples for shipment to customers and Chemtrade field personnel
Physical Occupational Requirements
Be ready for work, able to work both sitting and standing.
