The HVAC Operations Manager manages and oversees the daily operations of both installation and service teams. Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Oversee, manage, and coordinate the activities of HVAC installation and service technicians.
Hire, train, and mentor team members to develop their technical and professional skills.
Provide clear communication, guidance, and support to ensure efficient workflow and employee development.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to improve productivity and service quality.
Service Management:
Plan and schedule installations, maintenance, and repair work based on customer needs, resource availability, and project deadlines.
Monitor projects and service calls to ensure on-time completion, adherence to budgets, and client satisfaction.
Resolve escalated customer issues, ensuring quick and effective resolutions while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless handover and communication between departments.
Operational Efficiency:
Implement and improve operational processes, ensuring efficient use of resources, tools, and equipment.
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality service and installations.
Track and analyze key performance metrics for both installation and service teams, driving improvements where necessary.
Ensure all work complies with local and national HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain high safety standards on all projects and service calls by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure that the team adheres to all health and safety guidelines.
Stay current with industry developments, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance.
Client Relations & Business Development:
Work closely with clients to provide exceptional customer service, addressing their concerns, and ensuring long-term relationships.
Support business growth by identifying opportunities for new installations, upgrades, and service agreements.
Provide input on sales strategies based on operational capabilities and market trends.
Qualifications:
5+ years proven experience in HVAC management, with expertise in both installation and service operations.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and maintenance protocols.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
Understanding of local and national HVAC codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in using HVAC software, project management tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
