Job Summary:
The BSA/AML Technology and Reporting Team Lead is responsible for performing quality control on all work submitted by the team’s analysts, providing guidance, training, and ensuring compliance with BSA/AML Reporting and Technology Standards. This position will assist in the development of models involving tuning, calibration, segmentation and optimization for regulatory compliance, foundation development for future modeling and calibration as regulations change, and monitoring and measuring the success of AML transaction monitoring, customer risk scoring and OFAC/sanctions screening models. In addition, this position will also be responsible for compiling metrics regarding daily AML/CFT/OFAC Department productions and consolidating into Board Reporting presentations for quarterly updates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Perform quality control on all work submitted by the team’s analysts, providing guidance, training, and ensuring compliance with BSA/AML Reporting and Technology Standards.
Conduct reviews for new scenario implementations, monthly performance monitoring, and documenting quality control results to support KPI measurements.
Create detailed plans regarding the scheduling of tuning and testing related to the production and pre-production monitoring rules within various AML responsibilities monitoring and OFAC/sanctions screening technology and analytics solutions systems
Utilize visualization techniques to display data and the results of analysis in clear straightforward presentations that can be understood by non-technical readers
Develop models and execute ongoing monitoring for client transactions
Define the methodology/approach in a clear and concise manner to support the model optimization efforts.
Play a key role in communicating issues identified during the tuning/testing process to management and IT programming/technical staff
Develop documentation related to production and pre-production tuning efforts and parameter changes for AML transaction monitoring and OFAC/sanctions screening systems to ensure a comprehensive audit trail is maintained
Assist management as directed for tracking system changes, data validation and parameter changes for AML monitoring and OFAC/sanctions screening systems to ensure a comprehensive audit trail is maintained
Assist with the evaluation of monitoring and screening solutions and correcting errors to maintain systems following implementation
Plan and preparing technical reports, memoranda, and desktop procedures in order to document program development
Lead projects and successfully collaborating on larger projects
Meet with internal audit, model validators and regulators as needed
Compiling metrics regarding AML/CFT/OFAC Department production
Creating Board decks with appropriate metrics from the AML/CFT/OFAC Department
Trending analysis for AML/CFT/OFAC Department regarding production metrics and rule analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree;
Four (4) to six (6) years of technology experience preferably in compliance in the securities or banking industries with a focus in governance and anti-money laundering activities needed;
Statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS, etc.;
Knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, US Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements;
Strong knowledge of AML transaction monitoring systems and/or OFAC Sanctions screening systems;
Effective writing, analytical, and communications skills.
