Overview:
Performs clerical functions required to service the needs of the patient, providers and organization. Serves as a liaison between patients, clinical support staff, physicians, and others. Provides excellent customer service and greets patients entering the department/practice.
Responsibilities:
Receives and directs messages, (electronic, in person and telephone calls) to the appropriate personnel. Makes contacts to other departments, physicians, patients and other outside organizations as necessary for the departmental/practice operations.
Updates the patient account record to reflect the current actions that had been taken, and making sure to thoroughly document what actions were taken to resolve the issue and to collect the payment.
Provides excellent customer service for patients/families/representatives and other members of the treatment team.
Takes patient payments via phone as needed to resolve encounter
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education / Training
High School Diploma/Equivalent
Experience Requirements
0 -1 Insurance, Billing, Registration, and Customer Service related skills
Preferences: 1 - 2 years customer service realted experience
