Overview:

Responsible for the critical task of establishing and controlling the dynamic allocation model used to distribute over $450M in inventory to meet the airlines’ operation needs in a cost effective manner. As part of controlling the allocation model, establish and adjust the allocation model, set allocation levels, forecast inventory demand, model inventory impact, the disposition of materials and control the overall inventory value. Monitor and report all inventory metrics including all financial aspects related to the inventory value. Control the pedigree of the material in the inventory and ensure that all material meets reliability standards by identifying and removing low performing, rogue and other undesirable parts. Create and maintain an inclusive, positive and innovate culture within the Inventory Management Team

Responsibilities:

Establish and control the allocation model used to distribute inventory throughout the system to support airline operations.

Optimize inventory efficiency, achieve effective utilization that meets operational, contractual, and financial objectives.

Provide direction and leadership to a team of professional staff, maintaining an inclusive, positive and innovative culture.  

Forecast inventory demand and subsequently set/adjust allocation levels to support forecasted block hours and customer requirements.

Model both the inventory demand and inventory value impact of all proposed modifications, Engineering Order (EOs), task card updates, etc.

Monitor the supply chain and coordinate with Procurement, Stores, AOG, Technical Purchasing, and Repairs to both model and manage supply chain issues.

Provide inventory-related input during EO Coordination meetings.

Accomplish technical review of component consumption levels and on-wing time performance to optimize the overall inventory value and reduce repair spend.

Coordinate with Engineering and Relaiblity on the development of component workscopes and repair instructions.

Drive to all departmental and related company KPIs; accountable to Senior Manager, Inventory Management and deliver process improvement to meet KPI targets.

Collaborate with supporting departments to ensure all KPI targets are achieved.

Lead continuous improvement/cost savings initiatives within the department.

Provide oversight, task monitoring, training, guidance, and performance expectations for each team member on the Inventory Management team.

Deliver feedback and quarterly performance reviews to each direct report.

Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Inventory Management and the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations or designee.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Quantitative Analysis required.

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Business Analytics preferred.

5+ years of experience in a Technical Operations or Supply Chain role in an airline.

Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (TRAX, Oracle, or SAP)

Knowledge in supply chain processes including: component life cycle management, component reliability, parts pooling and demand planning.

Skills: 

Excellent analytical skills.

Strong decision making and problem solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including interaction with a global team requiring occasional off-hour communication and support.

Ability to work efficiently in a multitasking environment with continually changing priorities in a highly visible environment.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and fiduciary data along with recommendations to executive leadership.

Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel functions.

Flexibility to lead a team of highlight motivated individuals, collaborate as key stakeholders in inter-departmental activities, and as a productive individual contributor.

Salary Range: $88,500- $119,000

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
