Job Summary:

The QA Supervisor is responsible for supervising the quality assurance activities on the production floor, ensuring that all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing QA Floor Technicians, conducting audits, managing documentation, and collaborating with various departments to maintain and improve quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision: Oversee and manage QA/QC Floor Technicians, and QA micro lab technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Quality Assurance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with quality standards by supervising in-process hourly checks and monitoring production processes.

Audits and Inspections: Conduct facility GMP audits to verify adherence to quality and regulatory standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Documentation Management: Maintain all 3rd party and regulatory documentation, including but not limited to SQF, Organic, and RFA. Oversee the verification and maintenance of QA documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Issue Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues promptly. Collaborate with production and QA teams to implement effective solutions.

Customer Complaint CAPAs: Conduct customer complaint Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and create detailed reports.

Equipment Calibration: Ensure routine calibration and maintenance of QA equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable quality checks.

Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to QA Floor Technicians on quality assurance procedures, standards, and best practices.

Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and improvements to the QA Manager.

Compliance: Ensure all QA activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry. Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
