Espresso Services Inc. (ESI) is a well-established coffee equipment sales and service company in the upper-midwest looking for a curious, driven, detail-oriented candidate excited to deliver, install and train end-users on the use of their coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines. The Install Technician will play a vital role in expanding our business’ footprint by interfacing with customers and sales team while driving company-set installation standards. This position reports to the Installation Manager in Minneapolis.
The ideal candidate would have an affinity for technical troubleshooting, a background working in specialty coffee, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Maintain installation standards set by Espresso Services/Intermix Beverage, ensuring professional presentation at all times.
Prepare equipment for installation according to sales team directives and record outgoing equipment.
Coordinate with customers to schedule site visits and installations, providing arrival windows.
Communicate installation dates, times, or changes to managers and account representatives promptly.
Provide light operational and cleaning training to end-users.
Tag and report all equipment brought into ESI.
Proactively clean and prepare used equipment for sale or upcoming installations.
Conduct fixed asset inventory as required.
Support Installation Manager maintaining ownership of the Minneapolis installation area.
Serve as a backup technician for servicing product accounts or performing preventative maintenance as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and Vo-Tech school degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training with electrical and hydraulic systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and co-workers
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills required
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work and interact well with all levels of the organization
Strong computer aptitude, including familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, and Sheets)
