Purpose
This position is an opportunity for an early career candidate to join AbbVie’s Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Research and Development aligned technology team, R&D Global Therapeutics. This role will work collaboratively with technology and business groups to help build and deploy scalable Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications and Platforms.
The Data Scientist will work closely with the Business Systems Consultant and Technical Product Owner to Identify, develop, and optimize new AI techniques and solutions. These projects require integration, visualization, and analysis of data to address critical business needs in a timely manner. Read and adapt literature and publicly available information to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise in software development and data science.
Responsibilities
Independently design and develop techniques and solutions to answer scientific or business questions through the integration, visualization, and analysis of data. Demonstrate proficiency across a range of technologies related to the storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets.
Consistently deliver projects in a timely manner. Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results.
Understand the broad objectives of the project as well as his/her role in achieving those objectives, and modify approach when required.
Effectively organize and present project objectives and progress.
Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical business, and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions
Implement new methods and technologies.
Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.
