Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Complex Communication Needs and Autism? Veritas Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our excellent Alternative Provision in Leeds as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds
Hours: Full-time, Permanent Contract
Salary: £85-£90 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support in their learning journey. You will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping students to overcome challenges and achieve their potential. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with complex communication needs and autism in their daily activities and learning.
Implementing tailored strategies to manage and support challenging behaviour.
Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and deliver effective learning plans.
Building positive relationships with students to foster their confidence and independence.What We're Looking For:
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working with students with special educational needs, whether in a professional or personal capacity. The ideal candidate will possess:

A strong understanding of autism and complex communication needs.
Patience, empathy, and resilience in the face of challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the UK.
