Utilize your leadership skills to continue our growth by empowering lab personnel expand their calibration skills while developing lean processes and robust quality systems.
Responsibilities:
Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Enters appropriate data in proper computer system
Determines method of shipment that complies with established policies and procedures and customer specifications
Coordinate with Freight Company for shipments too large for parcel pickup
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons
Assembles and/or selects reassembled containers
Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers
Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Distributes items to appropriate individual and/or area
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer requirements
