Are you ready to join a world-class manufacturing team and make a significant impact? U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) is currently seeking a highly skilled Millwright to join our driven and dynamic team in Nashville, TN.

As a Millwright at USSTC, you will fabricate, install, repair, maintain, dismantle, adjust, and assemble industrial machinery. The machinery and mechanical equipment will include engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and presses.

- You are open to working evening shift (10PM to 6:30AM) -

Your job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Installing and repairing of industrial machinery and equipment and proficient with operating basic hand and power tools

Supporting equipment in accordance with drawings, diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer’s specifications and related documentation

Working from standard prints and sketches working to close tolerances

Welding mild steel, stainless and aluminum, applying Heliaric-Stic-Mig and oxyacetylene techniques

Required to pass annual heavy work equipment certification which includes press brake, shear, power rollers, and iron worker

Be at least 18 years of age

Eligible to work in the United States and for the Altria family of companies

Must possess two (2) or more years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial/manufacturing environment or equivalent related military experience; completed a recognized apprenticeship program. i.e. Machinist, Millwright or certified Welder; or completed technical school, equivalent military technical training or an industrial technology degree at an accredited school, college, or university

Ability and experience in high precision, close tolerance measurement machinery

Ability to diagnose cause of malfunctions in industrial machines

Ability to help our production teams drive innovation

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Strong safety orientation

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High degree of initiative and conscientiousness

Compensation:

The starting wage for these positions is $38.72 per hour.
