Overview:
Assists in implementing child life services by planning, organizing, and facilitating playroom and bedside activities for pediatric patients and their families. Maintains a safe and organized environment, orients and supervises volunteers, and assists with special events, in-kind donations, and community visitors.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma and core college coursework in child development, early childhood/elementary education, or a related field; Associate's Degree preferred. One year (full-time equivalent) childcare or teaching experience with children in a group setting. Paid or volunteer experience with children in a healthcare setting preferred. Child development knowledge and skills (infants through adolescents), group supervision skills, play and recreational activity planning and facilitation skills, oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently.
Motor Vehicle Operator:
Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
License/Certification/Registration:
