Job Description:

The person in this position is responsible for the Global Sourcing of Copper and Aluminum raw materials, Heat Exchanger Coils and Coatings for our Home- and Building- Comfort Solutions businesses. This includes leading and delivering global procurement cost savings’ opportunities on LII expenditures, as well as developing and implementing long- and short-range sourcing strategies for complex, impactful and high-risk items.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Understand the global footprint of Lennox, which markets we serve to and the value proposal of each of Lennox’s manufacturing facilities.

Be familiar with every single material included in the spend of the categories in charge, to be able to understand the use and impact of them in the final product. The knowledge acquired will serve as a basis for a daily conversation to all different levels and departments in the company.

Follow metals pricing indexes to be able to report once a week the changes in the market. Keep an eye, research, follow-up and learn the Copper and Aluminum global industry to share the insights, swings and trends in a monthly basis. The on-time reporting of these two actions helps the stakeholders in their decision making.

Develop a global sourcing strategy for the Categories owned. This strategy should be presented in the roadmaps, to go over the results achieved and the strategy that will be followed to reach the expected results.

Be the focal point between Lennox factories, Quality- and Engineering-departments, in order to work towards the achievement of the pre-defined strategy.

Keep the product flowing at all times by ensuring on-time deliveries with the quality and quantities expected, to meet the production targets of every operation. Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering change orders.

Work with Lennox finance team on the hedging strategy for Copper and Aluminum, consolidating and reporting the data needed for a successful execution. Provide direction and training to inventory buyers and planners as needed.

Personally build and foster a close relationship with every single Vendor within the Categories owned, to keep-up with the positive image Lennox has in the market.

Negotiate and manage contracts and commercial agreements with these Vendors that should be aligned to the goals of the Company.

Promote the competitive sourcing process, periodically perform a spend analysis, look for supply alternatives and continuously developing projects that will bring cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and working experience.

At least 5 years of experience in Copper and Aluminum is a must.

Domestic and International travel would be required.

Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing or Sales is desired.

A person with a strong sense of Ownership, remarked reliability and quick response is needed in this position.

Flexibility and creativeness in finding solutions under critical business situations is required.

Experience in lean manufacturing, Kanban and supplier development is desired.

Requires excellent negotiation abilities and strong analytical skills.

Shows exceptional verbal and written communication skills including with executives or in international contexts.

Requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.

Must have knowledge of economic principles and financial markets.

Competent in computerized procurement systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word,and Power Point.
