Overview:

The Shipping & Logistics Clerk is responsible for packaging, scheduling, and routing of pharmacy deliveries, including interdepartmental supplies and correspondence, and maintaining timely, accurate delivery records.

This is a full-time position located in Lexington, SC (1216 West Main St.) and the work schedule is Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm.

About the Role:

Complete daily packaging, scheduling, and routing of deliveries/drivers in the most efficient manner possible

Communicate professionally and clearly with drivers and pharmacy staff regarding delivery status updates

Enter delivery information into pharmacy systems

Scan delivery receipt forms into database and confirm receipt of packages with physician offices and patients

Prepare FedEx, UPS, and other packages for shipment

Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time and that all packages are accounted for

Interact courteously with patients and team members to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships

Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized workspace within the pharmacy

Proactively identify problems, escalate if/when appropriate, and provide effective solutions

Perform other related duties as assigned

Perform in accordance with company policies and standards

Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals

About You:

High school diploma or GED required

Currently registered as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in SC preferred (or willing to become registered as a SC Pharmacy Technician)

Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills

Spanish language skills a plus

Prior experience in shipping and packaging (especially medications) is a plus

Strong customer service attitude and skills

Responsible and reliable with a track record of good attendance

Strong typing, data-entry, and counting skills

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills

High attention to detail

Able to multitask and stay calm and focused in a busy, fast-paced work environment

Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Able to lift and carry light to medium-weight packages

Must have a reliable mode of transportation to get to our Lexington, SC pharmacy on a regular daily basis

Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, have excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service
