Gentle Dental of Allentown is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our office located in Allentown, PA 18104. This is a full-time position working M-Th (7:45-5:00).

Gentle Dental is a well-established, successful practice, where we truly value our hygienists and the important role they play in our success. To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team.
Previous RDH experience is always a plus but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well. Must have an active hygiene license for the state of Pennsylvania. Recent grads must be applying for license soon. Local anesthesia license is also required, or must be willing to obtain the licensing for which we will reimburse the cost.
Responsibilities:
Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Active Dental Hygiene license in Pennsylvania required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
