Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President of Population Health, the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer (COO/CNO) facilitates, directs, and coordinates both clinical and ancillary operational activities and programs that support efficient and effective operations and exceptional care for the communities we serve. Driving performance through effective leadership and a consumer-centric approach, this role is accountable for meeting total cost of care, quality, patient experience, and staffing performance metrics to advance the health system’s strategic plans.   

What You Can Expect:

Lead the delivery of optimal care, including key elements of quality, safety, efficiency, patient experience, team  engagement/culture, and stewardship.  

Promote high performance expectations for the leadership team to improve the patient experience, quality of care and efficiency of care. 

Work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines, physicians, departments and leaders to ensure that clinical and quality improvement programs are coordinated.

Direct and oversee financial stewardship with an emphasis on providing efficient utilization of resources, and making appropriate financial decisions for designated operations.

Develop and maintain positive relations with physicians, employees, patients, families, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other applicable parties. 

Foster a culture of partnership, proactively collaborating  with Centers of Excellences (COEs) and other system functions to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in nursing

12 years' relevant experience in acute care hospital operations

 Current Idaho RN License upon hire
