Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer - London (with European Travel)

£350 - £400 per day plus fully expensed outside of London/9 month rolling contract (potential longer-term opportunity)/London

A leading London based global financial service company seek an experienced IT/Business Trainer with at least 2 of the following language skills - English, French, German or Dutch. You will be required to support an EMEA based Transformation Programme in introducing new innovative ways of working. The programme includes a significant element of using modern technology as an enabler and is closely aligned to modern thinking on the future of work.

The successful Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer will work with the programme workstream leads and closely with the Change Manager, focusing on devising suitable training approaches to facilitate adoption of changes to working practices covering business processes, systems and technology. They will have the opportunity to create and implement innovative training strategies and plans that will support maximising employee adoption and minimising resistance. The Business Trainer will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and business outcomes.

The Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer will support the Programme by initially training the UK business on a document automation product, so some UK travel maybe required. As the programme evolves it will expand to cover other products and processes and EMEA countries, initially focusing on the Netherlands, France and Germany, with other EMEA countries later.

The Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer will also support the programme team in integrating training activities into their workstream plans.

Core Responsibilities for the Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer - London (with European Travel):

  • Assist the Programme Team in devising and implementing suitable training approaches for each product and country, to support achieving the Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Develop and produce programme branded training materials and templates that will support a consistent training experience across workstreams.
  • Maintain training presentation, handouts, and any other required training materials, such as training plans and video content.
  • Use modern training technology tools and web application training tools such as guided tours and walk throughs to produce user self-learning training content.
  • Deliver the training plan across EMEA.
  • Support building quick reference guides to host online.
  • Ensure that appropriate governance, methodology & processes are applied.
  • Provide floorwalking training support.
  • Deliver hands-on style training with some occasional one-on-one VIP training.
  • Be ready to deliver virtual sessions for smaller European countries.
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications.
  • Knowledge & Experience for the Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer - London (with European Travel):
  • Experience working with project teams and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Must excel at classroom management, communicating to diverse audience and be experienced in adult learning techniques.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience providing end-user training for large scale technology initiatives.
  • Proven experience with IT end-user training.
  • Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) (optional).
  • Experience with large-scale, complex, Matrix organisational change efforts

Skills & Personal Qualities for the Bi-Lingual IT/Business Trainer - London (with European Travel):

  • Guidance and Training.
  • Preferably multi-lingual with fluent French, however Dutch and German also helpful.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with training on mobile devices.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
