Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Company Car

The Client

Our client are the worlds largest HVAC manufacturer and fastest growing brand of HVAC products in the UK, and in supporting further growth are looking to expand our team in many of the key areas of our business.

We are currently recruiting for an Air Source Heat Pump Technical Support Engineer based at our clients head office in Newcastle to provide technical support on their range of renewable technologies for their growing installer network.

The Role of Air Source Heat Pump Technical Support Engineer

As a technical support engineer, you will handle post-sale technical enquiries including fault finding, product information, spare parts and more from our installer network. You will be given training in all manufactured products and intrusted to provide the best technical support to our clients customers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities of the Air Source Heat Pump Technical Support Engineer:

* Take ownership for technical and service-related enquiries.

* Develop an understanding of the companies service department and work as part of a wider team providing technical support to field service engineers, customer services, warranty claims and sales teams.

* Identify emerging issues and trends and escalate to Technical Services and Product Management teams

* Provide feedback from the field to the Training department for the development of training material

* Remain up to date with the relevant industry standards, British Standards, Building Regulations etc

* Provide support to installers in regard to relevant industry regulations, standards and documentation

* Use the business systems in place to support activities of job role and enable accurate reporting.

* As a member of the technical team you may be asked on occasion to undertake a variety of tasks and/or be involved in projects undertaken by the technical department

Person Specification

* BPEC/formal qualification heat pump installation

* NVQ level 2/3 plumbing and heating

* Experience of fault diagnosis.

* Exceptional customer service.

* This role requires excellent IT, organisational, communication and presentation skills with a strong customer focus.

* Ability to accurately interpret and communicate manufacturer’s instructions and industry standards.
