Procurement Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location: Stafford

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm (3pm on a Friday)

The role:

As a Procurement Manager, you will have the chance to build and lead the procurement department. You'll be instrumental in developing procurement systems, strategies, and processes that will enhance the company’s operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to advance your CIPS qualification to Level 6.

Key Responsibilities:

Challenge existing processes to drive functional growth and development
Collaborate with Senior Managers on both indirect and direct purchasing decisions and negotiations
Create and implement a comprehensive Risk Management Strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and addressing any issues promptly
Work closely with internal teams, including department heads and General Managers, to ensure sustainable and efficient purchasing processes
Develop a global supply chain strategy that leverages market position and aligns with long-term business goals
Manage a small procurement team, establishing KPIs to ensure strong supplier relationships and team efficiency
Advise senior leadership on supply chain and purchasing strategies
Requirements:

Proven experience in procurement or a similar role
CIPS Level 4 certification
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Analytical approach with strong data-driven decision-making skills
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
A second European language is desirable
