The Category Buyer will be responsible for the purchase of machinery, equipment, parts, or services necessary for key operations. The role offers a rate of £32.30/hr Umbrella (inside IR35).

What You Will Do:

Support execution of category strategy for Tailored Categories.
Approve purchase orders and manage bids, ensuring the procurement of high-quality merchandise at the most favourable prices.
Engage with staff and vendors to address and rectify any defective or unacceptable goods or services. Act as the interface between the supplier and stakeholders for any concerns.
Work with internal suppliers and stakeholders of different categories of business i.e. engineering, logistics etc.
Resolve issues related to undelivered goods, employing effective negotiation and contract administration skills.
Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and assess the need for amendments.
What You Will Bring:

Experience as a buyer, preferably from a manufacturing background.
A Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related business field.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proven negotiation skills and the ability to lead.
Ability to analyse financial reports and technical data.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with ability to adapt to multiple systems. PowerBI knowledge would be a great advantage.
Positive attitude with desire to find a win/win resolution.
