Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join their team for a six-month contract.

Role Description:

1. You will be joining an established Network Operations team working with other Network engineers. You will be supported by an established team of L1-L4 line support.
2. Following a period of acclimatization, you will be involved in internal and vendor technical bridges, and be expected to work independently, or as part of a wider team.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Level 3 Network support
2. Network incident diagnostics/resolution
3. Network change implementation via requests made via ITSM
4. Integrate within the established team
5. Demonstrate a strong 'can do' attitude and willingness to progress
6. Support & training will be provided to ensure further development
7. Form part of the on-call rota

Essential networking hands-on experience with:

1. Cisco ACI software defined networks (multi-site & multi-pod)
2. Deep understanding of networking protocols (eg, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
3. Network management tools like SolarWinds
4. Citrix NetScaler's
5. Network Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & AnyConnect Remote Access)
6. Identity Services - AAA & Cisco ISE
7. Troubleshooting and fault-finding complex routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP)
8. Netscaler Administration
