Our Client, a leading construction consultancy based in Central London are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of their team. The company complete works across a range of sectors (new build and refurbishment) including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and blue light.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the cost management function, including cost planning, estimating, budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.
* Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
* Review tender submissions and make recommendations on contractor selection.
* Manage the procurement process, including the preparation of contract documentation and the administration of contracts.
* Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
* Monitor and report on project cost performance, highlighting any variances or potential risks.
* Manage the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
* Mentor and develop junior team members
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
* Chartered status with RICS
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on cost management.
* Experience in managing large and complex construction projects.
* Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost planning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
