Countermeasures Engineer I - U.S. Department of State
Our government contracting client seeks a Countermeasures Engineer I to support the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) at the U.S. Department of State. The role involves designing, installing, and maintaining advanced countermeasures systems at overseas diplomatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, install, operate, and maintain advanced countermeasures systems
• Configure and ensure interoperability of technical equipment
• Provide technical support throughout all phases of countermeasures systems
• Evaluate and develop new countermeasure systems and test equipment
• Train Department of State personnel on countermeasures techniques
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and assist in policy development
• Draft surveys for new installations and conduct user training
• Read, interpret, and create electrical and architectural drawings
Requirements:
• Current U.S. Government TOP SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI access
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or physics
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in engineering or physics
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office Suite
• Understanding of IoT, security systems, and associated trends
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong multitasking and attention to detail skills
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, C++, or other programming languages
• Experience with databases
Travel: Frequent OCONUS and occasional CONUS travel required
Location: Rosslyn, VA (relocation required)
Compensation: $52.88 - $57.69 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
