We are seeking an experienced Technical Building Manager to join a leading facilities and property management company to assist a prominent commercial building located in the City of London. This newly developed building is set to open at the end of 2024, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring its smooth operation and ongoing maintenance.

Role Overview:
As the Technical Building Manager, you will lead the team and manage all aspects of the building's day-to-day operations and maintenance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a focus on delivering high-quality service to building occupiers. You will be responsible for managing contractors, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all service charge recoverable services, ensuring compliance with set standards, quality, and time frames.
Manage contractors and ensure that any service shortfalls are swiftly addressed.
Act as the first point of contact in emergencies and coordinate third-party stakeholders to resolve issues.
Monitor building systems (BMS, HVAC, etc.) and address any malfunctions or defects.
Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including health & safety protocols.
Maintain technical records and ensure all checklists, risk assessments, and compliance documents are completed and up to date.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of service charge budgets and implement cost-saving measures.
Lead and develop the facilities team, ensuring high performance and effective contractor management.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in managing multi-let commercial properties and supervising contractors.
Strong understanding of M&E systems and building technical equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification preferred.
Ideally hold some form of an engineering / building services qualification.
