Our client is a renowned engineering company specializing in precision machining for the nuclear, aerospace and general engineering industries. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they deliver high-quality components that meet the stringent requirements of the sectors. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic team.
CNC Turner Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components for aerospace and nuclear applications.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T standards to ensure accurate production of parts.
* Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials based on the unique requirements of each industry.
* Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls to execute machining operations efficiently and accurately.
* Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality.
* Conduct in-process and final inspection of parts using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
CNC Turner Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of machining processes, materials, and quality standards relevant to aerospace and oil and gas applications.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T symbols.
* Hands-on experience with CNC turning machines and related equipment, including knowledge of multi-axis machining.
* Strong programming skills with the ability to write, edit, and optimize G-code programs for CNC machines.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Familiarity with industry-specific certifications and standards such as AS9100, NORSOK, API, or ISO 9001 is advantageous.
* Relevant technical certification or vocational training in machining or related field.
