Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic to join our team at Dekalb County Jail in Decatur, GA.
Responsibilities:
Performs initial assessment and management of illness or injury in accordance with specified protocol and procedure to patients entering a correctional facility.
Provides direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care, as required in each individual case.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Administers appropriate emergency medical care including life support procedures, decontamination protocols, fluid/drug administration, obtaining EKG readings, and vital statistic monitoring.
Qualifications:
State licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic.
Two years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.
