Overview:

The Sr. Manager of Data Acquisition & Vendor Management is responsible for the organization’s business strategy for data acquisition, assisting with developing and overseeing the implementation and compliance of programs and policies that support the strategic goals of the company in the areas of: identifying, evaluating and recommending data source content to enable fulfillment of enterprise products as well as managing external vendors.

Responsibilities:

Oversight and management of the department as a strategic business Drive strategic business model initiatives that ensure efficiency in data acquisition (e.g., cost savings efforts, improved currency, quality, and delivery times); communicate the strategy, objectives, and accomplishments for the

Managing external vendors, auditing & compliance of vendors

Build a learning organization focused on continuous process improvement to respond to products shifting

Serve as Subject Matter Expert and make decisions that impact the achievement of customer, operational, and/or project objectives

Implement policies and practices for data acquisition to ensure production, quality, turnaround time, resource allocation, training and development, and problem resolution adhere to established policies and procedures

Identify viable data source alternatives and redundancies to reduce ‘key’ supplier risks and reliance on 3rd party suppliers

Train, develop and coach management team in hiring, staff development, disciplinary actions, and human resource policy

Own escalation path to correct concerns in keeping with service level standards.

Achieve data acquisition targets established by executive management for the department.

In conjunction with your Leader(s), manage resource conflicts, mediate highly complex and sometimes conflicting issues involving multiple

Ensure all fulfillment adheres to company defined compliance guidelines (including the documentation) and assist with identification and analysis of potential new compliance threats for the company or its

Work with Product/Software Development and EDM to improve platform functionality or implement new workflows.

Recommend enhancements needed for efficiency and quality improvements and effectively communicate these with diverse audiences, including employees, senior management, and

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; however, the equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 

Experience:   

Leadership: Must have demonstrated leadership ability toward achieving results; proven track record in effectively leading, coaching and developing staff; strong, demonstrated customer focus and ability to work directly with customers and form a strategic partnership with Senior Management to assist with the achievement of our company strategic goals.

Demonstrated skills in employee relations and resource allocation.

Experience in managing external vendors.

Good business acumen: Knowledgeable in policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting Verifications.

Strategic thinker: Identifies opportunities and is able to develop business cases to support changes.

Reasoning Ability: Above average ability to assess current issues, devise workable solutions, processes, and metrics, and successfully implement solutions.

Critical Thinking: Ability to solve semi-complex problems.

Independent decision maker

Ability to make sound judgments.

Ability to work and communicate cross-functionally.

Flexible with priorities as they are constantly changing.

Analytics: Effectively analyze data and assist with the development of action plans to accomplish objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Ability to create and write documents such as flow charts, procedure manuals, presentations, low-to- moderately complex reports and correspondence. Ability to speak persuasively before groups of employees and customers of organization.

Adaptability: Able to meet the needs of a fast-paced rapidly changing business environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Interpersonal savvy: Relates well using diplomacy and tact; and builds effective relationships & rapport inside and outside the organization at all levels
