The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the GECOM NAM project, a cornerstone of our eCommerce platform. As we approach the project’s launch, your expertise will be essential in ensuring its successful completion. Post-launch, our goal is to establish an internal Development Team to take full ownership of the GECOM NAM platform. This team will be responsible for adding new features and migrating projects from the Mi9 platform, currently used by Metagenics Canada and Bariatric Advantage. The timely hiring of a Senior Software Engineer is crucial for a smooth transition, ongoing development, and supporting our business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development:
Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.js and Next.js.
Experience with TypeScript for building robust and scalable frontend applications.
Backend Development:
Strong expertise in Node.js for server-side application development.
Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Cloud Computing:
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, Fargate and API Gateway.
Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and best practices.
DevOps & CI/CD:
Knowledge of automated deployment and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
Understanding of infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Basic Requirements

Experience with Algolia or similar search and recommendation engines.
Compensation
The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $128,000/yr. to $148,000/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
