Overview:

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Location: South Lorain/Southwest Cuyahoga/Huron County

Schedule:  PRN - Flexible Schedule

Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to treat both In-Home Patients and In-Clinic patients.  This position will primarily cover south western Cuyahoga and south eastern Lorain counties (North Olmstead, North Ridgeville, Grafton, Elyria, LaGrange, Oberlin, Wellington and west). Position will be primarily IHPT (In Home Physical Therapy) but with the potential for regular hours in Central/West side clinics (Sheffield, Oberlin). Candidate should be prepared to work regularly with immediate post op hip and knee replacement patients. Looking for energetic and motivated clinician to progress in-home patients and transition them back into our OP clinics (typically a 2 week time frame for this transition). Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications:

College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE

Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)

CPR certification
