Overview:

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient

Location: 6565 West Main Street  Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Incentives: Up to $5,000 Bonus and Student Debt Benefit

Schedule: Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Compensation: Hourly, starting at $22/Hr and up, commensurate with experience PLUS Sign-on Bonus and Student Debt Benefit Program

Our NovaCare Rehabilitation outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. 

Outpatient physical therapy office with focus on clinical excellence and staff training to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Caseload is primarily non-surgical orthopaedics including specialty areas of spine care, TMD/upper cervical treatment,

lower quarter biomechanics, high school and collegiate athletes, pain management and dizziness/concussion/vestibular disorders.

Opportunity to work alongside two fellowship-trained orthopaedic manual physical therapists who serve as instructors

and fellowship mentors.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications:

College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE

Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)

CPR certification
