Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Service Technician proficient in both Fire Alarm and Security Systems to join our team. This role is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, testing, and inspecting various fire alarm and security systems to ensure functionality and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Fire Alarm Systems:

Program fire alarm control panels, detectors, and peripheral devices.

Conduct thorough troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve system issues promptly.

Perform testing of fire alarm systems according to regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.

Complete regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.

Document all service activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.

Security Systems:

Configure security panels, cameras, access control systems, and related components.

Troubleshoot security system malfunctions and implement effective solutions.

Conduct comprehensive testing of security systems to verify proper operation.

Perform inspections to assess system performance and compliance with security protocols.

Provide training and support to clients on system operation and maintenance.

General Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations, demonstrating a sense of urgency and professionalism.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.

Adhere to safety standards and protocols during all service activities.

Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes related to fire alarm and security systems.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, tools, and equipment.

Min:

USD $25.00/Hr.

Max:

USD $30.00/Hr.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Systems Service Technician with specialization in both fire alarm and security systems.

Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting fire alarm control panels (e.g., Kidde and EST), detectors, and related equipment.

Familiarity with security systems programming (e.g., CCURE, Paxton, Hanwha, ExactVision, Honeywell, and AMAG) including cameras, access control panels, and intrusion detection systems.

Familiarity with intercom systems programming and installation (e.g., Valcom, Atlas, and Bogen) devices.

Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as local regulations governing fire alarm and security systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Certification (e.g., NICET Level II or higher) in fire alarm systems is preferred.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
