Manufacturing Engineer
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join one of Exeter's most exciting engineering firms. Your role will to provide support for manufacturing processes on site including Industrial Robot Cells, CNC and EDM. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support for manufacturing to improve existing processes, qualify new products and develop automated manufacturing processes.
The Role:
Create, verify, and release programs for CNC, CMM, EDM & Waterjet Machines
Create, verify, and release robot programs for automated cells
Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation
Creating supporting documentation for CNC, EDM, Waterjet, Automated operations & Production Gauge (SOP and EMS)
Support the identification and implementation of new manufacturing technology Requirements:
Degree/HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline - ideally Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Five years’ experience programming industrial manufacturing equipment
Tooling design and/or CAD experience
Experience trouble-shooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)
CMM Programming experience, proficient in CNC Milling, CAM an advantage
Robot programming experience highly desirableWorking Hours: Days only Mon – Fri 8-4
