Excellent opportunity for a Planner / Assistant Planner with experience in the area of Minerals & Waste to work with our client based in Sheffield who offer career advancement and further training and mentoring if required.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing support to the Senior Planner working on Minerals & Waste projects primarily in the north of England.
* Undertaking or assisting in the delivery of feasibility studies, planning applications, environmental reviews and the preparation of associated documentation.
* Coordinating on planning led EIA projects, including confidently discussing and resolving complex assessment issues.
* Leading / supporting in the production of proposals and tenders.
* Contributing to the continued improvement of processes and procedures.
* Nurturing positive relationship with clients and key stakeholders.
* Delivering high quality project work.
Person Specification
* Degree or post graduate level qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Member of RTPI (or working towards attaining this).
* Knowledge of the planning process and minerals planning practice including the current methods, legislation, techniques and guidance which direct the services the company provides.
* Knowledge of managing projects, including financial management, program management and quality control.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrable ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
* UK driving licence
